Welcome to the official website of the 12th International Conference on In Vivo Methods. This conference follows in the tradition of the "in vivo meeting" which was first established in Nottingham, UK in 1982. The mission of the conference is to provide a platform to facilitate the development and refinement of methods for the detection of chemicals in the brain. Historically, this meeting has been an important forum for such progress and for standardization of methodology. Indeed, regular attendees of the meeting include many of the pioneers of in vivo microdialysis and voltammetry. In addition, as the meeting has evolved, it has taken on a substantial emphasis on state-of-the-art applications of neurochemical techniques ranging from studies conducted in single cells to those in living humans.
The 12th conference in the series will be held at the Point Grey Campus (pictured above) of the University of British
Columbia on August 10 - 14, 2008. Our goal is that the meeting will bring together researchers who are on the cutting edge of develoopment of neurochemical tools with those who are interested in adopting these techniques and would like to learn more. We hope you can join us in the beautiful Pacific Northwest this summer.
